Local Laws

The State of New York operates under the system called home rule, meaning that local governments have been granted broad home rule powers enabling them to provide services to their residents and to enact local laws as needed in order to provide services to their citizens and fulfill their various obligations.

Listed below are Aurora’s local laws; they can be both viewed and downloaded.  If you don’t find a law that covers what you are looking for, it means that the issue is covered by a law in the Town of Ledyard, or by a higher governmental law.
